CVC TV will live stream the Week 10 rivalry matchup between visiting Berkshire and host Cardinal on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
This game has league championship implications for five teams in the Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division.
Due to several teams having one league game canceled, the Valley Division title may not be decided on Friday, but there are several scenarios that could play out.
If Berkshire wins and Hawken beats Crestwood, the Badgers would complete league play with a 5-1 record and likely would be declared the Valley Division champion. This scenario gets complicated if Crestwood beats Hawken on Friday as the Red Devils would end the season with a 4-1 league record and a win over the Badgers.
Cardinal has a shot at winning the league title as well. The Huskies must beat Berkshire and pull for Hawken to beat Crestwood. That would leave the Huskies and Badgers at 4-2 with three other teams at 3-2. The CVC uses just one tie-breaker, the head-to-head result, which would give the Huskies an advantage, but with three teams at 3-2, the CVC leadership would have to determine how the conference champion would be decided.
Crestwood, who has wins over both Berkshire and Cardinal, needs to beat Hawken to finish league play with a 4-1 record. Berkshire and Cardinal both would be 4-2 with one more game than the Red Devils. Again, the CVC would have to decide how this scenario would play out.
Harvey (3-2) and Hawken (2-2) both have an outside shot of earning a share of the league title. For that to happen, Cardinal must beat Berkshire and Hawken must beat Crestwood to leave all five teams with two losses.
Regardless of what happens on Friday night, the Valley Division championship scenario is going to be fun to watch.
